Lois Carter Hunt

Lois Carter Hunt, age 90 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday Morning, October 30, 2013 following a period of declining health.


Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 1, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Central Baptist Church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Earl Pirkle will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 4 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hunt was born August 24, 1923 in Lawrenceville, Georgia to the late D. Y. Carter, Sr. and Bert Maughon Carter. She retired from Hall County Board of Education with over 30 years of service at Lyman Hall Elementary School. Lois was a member of Central Baptist Church for over 60 years.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by her children, Lila Hunt of Flowery Branch and Sue & Bob Tyner of Gainesville, sister, Jean Sinyard of Mableton, Georgia, brother, David & Cora Carter of Tucker, Georgia, grandchildren, Samuel & Darlene Tyner of Gainesville and Shanda & Eddie Millwood of Hoschton, great-grandchildren, Beau, Brody & Brelynn Millwood of Hoschton and Luke & Levi Tyner of Gainesville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church, 101 Bible Class or Central Baptist Church, Building Fund, 785 Main Street, SW, Gainesville, GA 30501.
