John Thomas Harrison

Obituary Date: Thursday, November 14, 2013
Chief Petty Officer, John Thomas Harrison, U.S. Navy (Retired), 73, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 in his home in Cumming, GA. He retired from the Navy in 1977 with 20 years of service. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he was best known for his loyalty and generosity.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary A. Harrison; daughter, Melody Fogle; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Scott Taylor; grandchildren, Scott and Amy Bennett; Hannah, Harrison, and Griffen Taylor; sister, Janelle Dowell; brother-in-laws, Charles, Kenneth, and Richard Lumpkin, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at Cumming Baptist Church with Dr. Barry Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 8:30 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until time of service.
