Edna Nell Chapman

Edna Nell McFalls Chapman, age 92 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Stone and Reverend Jamie Raper officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chapman was born March 5, 1921 in Towns County, Georgia to the late Ed McFalls and the late Daisy Patrick McFalls. She was retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was a member of Wahoo Baptist Church. Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Chapman; three brothers, Raymond, Harrison and Clifford McFalls; one sister, Mary Etta Garrett.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jerry Yopp of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Stanley Winters of Gainesville; daughter, Joan Chapman of Gainesville; granddaughters, Angela Winters, Anne Marie Wilson, Christy Winters, Elizabeth Winters, Lynn Gibson, Rebecca Peck; grandson, Jeremy Yopp and 16 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
