Mary Louise Wilkinson Smith

Mrs. Mary Louise Wilkinson Smith, age 87, of 103 Old Liberty Hill Road, Toccoa, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Sara's Place, Toccoa, Georgia.

A daughter of the late Joe "Doug" and Mildred Purcell Wilkinson, she was born May 1, 1926 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived her entire life. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse, a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, was an amateur radio operator and volunteered for the Salvation Army for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Davis Smith, by a sister, Sue Looney and a brother, Vernon Wilkinson.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Tina Smith of Toccoa, Georgia; sister, Virginia Foster of Banks County, Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 30, 11 O'clock AM at Tates Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and should assemble at the funeral home by 10 AM, Buster Smith, John Defoor, Jeff Kellar, Stanley Kellar, Johnnie Smith and Roger Foster.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1094 Toccoa, Georgia 30577 or the Charity of one's choice in memory of Mrs. Mary Louise Wilkinson Smith.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Mary Louise Wilkinson Smith.
