M. L. Grindle

Mr. M. L. Grindle, age 83 of Lula, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Eastview Baptist Church with interment to follow in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Grady White and Reverend Danny Kastner will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Grindle was born September 19, 1930 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Matt Grindle and Bertie Strickland Grindle. He was retired from New Holland Textile Mill and was a member of East View Baptist Church. M.L. was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Steve Grindle and his brother, Otis Grindle.

Mr. Grindle is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois Wade Grindle of Lula, his daughter & son-in-law, Jeanette & Julian Cantrell of Lula, son, Richard Grindle of Lula, son & daughter-in-law, Alan & Judy Grindle of Lula, grandchildren, Steven Grindle, Andrew Dodd, Dustin Grindle and Kimberly Grindle, great-grandchild, Harley Grindle, sister, Betty Smith of Alto and brother, Harrison Grindle of Lula.
