Shelia Kay Gibbs Davis

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland, announces the death of Mrs. Shelia Kay Gibbs Davis, age 64 of Cornelia. Shelia passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 following a period of declining health.

Born in White County on April 19, 1949, Sheila was the daughter of the late Leonard Gibbs and Bertie Mae Wooten Gibbs. She lived most of her life in White County, where she graduated White County High School and was a member of County Line Baptist Church. Shelia always had a smile and a kind word for those she met along life's way, even in the midst of her declining health, Sheila was an example of Grace. She loved her God, her family and her friends. In addition to her parents, Shelia is preceded in death by her loving husband,Sam Davis, her sister, Cheryl Dorsey and her brother, Butch Gibbs, who gave his life during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include her sisters and husbands, Terri and Ronnie Crumley of Cleveland and Christy and Bobby Freeman, also of Cleveland. The family would like to thank the 3rd floor nursing staff at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for their enduring care and compassion during Sheila's hospital stay.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Shelia's life to be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 2:00pm at County Line Baptist Church. It is requested that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made in memory of Shelia to the Ronnie Green Heart Center ℅ Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 743 Spring St., NE, Gainesville, Georgia 30501
