Betty Jean Mathis

Mrs. Betty Jean Mathis, age 77, of Danielsville, GA died Friday, December 20, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Mathis was born in Commerce, GA to the late William guy and Ruby Smith Benton. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and was employed at Quality Foods.

Mrs. Mathis is survived by her husband, Charles Mathis of Danielsville; sons, Mike Mathis of Commerce and Ricky Mathis of Maysville; brother, Steve Benton of Homer; sisters, Juanita Brice of Hiawassee, Carolyn Gay of Darien and Elaine Beck of Commerce; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, December 22 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Parks officiating. Interment will follow in Blacks Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 PM.
