Edna (Aiken) Morris

Mrs. Edna (Aiken) Morris, age 76, of Murrayville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2013 at Murrayville Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend John Dell and Reverend Stanley Jackson will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.


Mrs. Morris was born August 23, 1937. A native of Fannin County but lived most of her life in Hall County. She was the daughter of the late Earl Aiken and Lena (Cook) Aiken. She was a member of Murrayville Baptist Church where she was serving as secretary and treasurer. She was also a member of the Good Shepherd Sunday School Class and was also a member at the Senior Life Center. She worked for a number of years at the Old Murray Burger in Murrayville.


She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Morris; a son, Marvin "Marty" Morris; and a brother, Jimmy Aiken.


She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Dale Hunter; granddaughter and husband, Ronnice and Rodney Stephens; grandsons and wives, Josh and Julie Satterfield and Caleb and Jessica Satterfield all of Gainesville; great-granddaughters, Ana Grace Stephens, Jenna Kate Stephens; Ellie Satterfield; and great-grandsons, Carter Satterfield and Cesar Villa; Brother, Roger Aiken; sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Arvil Watkins. She is also survived by a very close family member, Joan and Harrison Kinney and a number of other family and friends also survive.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Murrayville Baptist Church 5407 Hubert Stephens Road Murrayville, GA 30564.
