Thomas G. 'Tom' Wilkinson

Thomas G. "Tom" Wilkinson, 66, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday January 2, 2014 at his residence following a period of declining health.

Born October 20, 1947 in Hollis, Oklahoma, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 5 years having moved from Forsyth County. Mr. Wilkinson retired from sales in the plastics industry after forty years of service. Tom as an avid golfer, sports fan and enjoyed reading. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Bernice and John Roberts, and his sister, Aretha Speed.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Vickie Wilkinson, Dawsonville; son, Thomas Gregory "Tommy" Wilkinson, Kennesaw; brother and sister in law, Sonny and Gerri Speed, Durant, OK.

Memorial services will be held Saturday January 4, 2014 at 1 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ralph Johnston will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 12 noon at the funeral home.
