Mildred Strickland Murphy

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday January 17, 2014 in Wards Funeral Home Chapel
for Mildred Strickland Murphy, 77, of Gainesville . Dr. David Meacham will officiate with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 pm - 4;00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the
Funeral Home.

Mrs Murphy was born in Forsyth County and had lived most of her life in Hall County . She was a daughter of the late Fletcher Hammond Haynes and Mamie Shoemake Haynes. She was a graduate
of Oakwood High School and had owned Hwy. 53 Service Station . Mrs Murphy was a member of
Pine Crest Baptist Church and the M & M's at the church. She was preceded in death by her husbands Marshall L. Strickland and Carl Murphy, brothers Billy Haynes and Jerry Haynes , and sister Latrelle McGee.
