Inez Owenby Allen

Mrs. Inez Owensby Allen, age 93 of Commerce died Friday, January 24, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Allen was born to the late, Homer E. and Lenor Parr Owensby. Mrs. Allen was retired from Harmony Grove Mill and was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was also preceded in death by her sons, Paul and William Allen; sisters, Ruth Owensby and Golden Crocker; and brother, Jewell Owensby.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her daughters, Carol Campbell of Commerce and Nancy Ponder (Ernie) of Trenton, GA; daughter-in-law, Brenda Gail Allen of Jefferson; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, Jan. 26 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. David Harbin officiating with the interment following at Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1-3 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Madison Street Baptist Church or a Charity of your choice.
