Agnes M. Black Underwood

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Agnes M. Black Underwood, age 84, of Pendergrass, Georgia, who passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014.

Mrs. Underwood was born in Clarke County, Georgia, a daughter of the late George and Lucille Brown Elrod Black. Mrs. Underwood was a member of Pendergrass Baptist Church for 75 years, and was retired from Katherine's Kitchen after 25 years of service.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Underwood was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Black.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Henry Underwood, of Pendergrass, Georgia, Daughter, Pamela (Jamie) Fowler, of Jefferson, Georgia. Sons, Steve (Judy) Underwood, of Jefferson, Georgia, and Donald "Duck" (Vickie) Underwood of Pendergrass, Georgia, Sister, Robbie Black Reynolds, of Pendergrass, Georgia, 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2 pm in the Pendergrass Baptist Church with Reverend Calvin Chatham and Reverend Dwayne Majors officiating. Burial will follow in the Pendergrass Baptist Church Cemetery with Joe McMullan, Matt Underwood, Don Cole, Jim Love, Andrew Fowler and Shannon Underwood honored as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday January 31, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Evans Funeral Home.
