Sharon Lakay 'Pat' Ballard

Sharon Lakay "Pat" Ballard, age 54 of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church in Cleveland, Georgia with interment to follow in Murrayville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ballard was born April 11, 1959 in Commerce, Georgia to E. A. Buffington and Geraldine Evans Buffington. She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Cleveland. Pat was preceded in death by her father, E. A. Buffington, her husband, Roger Lee "Doc" Ballard and her son, Bobby Ray Rider.

Mrs. Ballard is survived by her daughters, Michelle Priest of Cleveland and Janie Mullis of Dahlonega, sons, Kevin Roger Ballard of Cleveland and Dan Franklin of Demorest, mother, Geraldine Buffington of Flowery Branch, sisters, Carolyn Cothran of Gainesville, Barbara Buffington Teague of Gainesville and Lisa Renea Buffington of Flowery Branch.
