Joel Don Phillips

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday February 16, 2014 in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Joel Don Phillips age 76 of Gainesville. The Rev. Richard Cole will officiate. Interment will follow in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Phillips passed away Friday February 14, 2014.



Mr. Phillips was born in Hall County to the late Clyde Phillips and Annie Mae Stephens Phillips. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later retired from Goldkist.



Survivors include Wife, Bobbie Sue Phillips, Gainesville, Son and Daughter-in-law, Greg and Becky Phillips, Gainesville, Daughter and Son-in-Law, Cynthia Lynn and Paul Harrison, Clarkesville, TN, Brothers, Bobby Phillips, Flowery Branch, Ronnie Phillips, Sugar Hill, Wayne Phillips Flowery Branch, Grandchildren, Trey Shewbert, Suprise, AZ, Gena Gage, Elizabethtown, KY, and 3 Great Grandchildren.
