Ruth Naomi Turgeon

Miss Ruth Naomi Turgeon, age 50 of Canon, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at An Med Health, Anderson, South Carolina.

A daughter of Alfred J. and Florence M. Chalk Turgeon, she was born December 28, 1963 in Royal Oak, Michigan having lived most of her life in Stephens and Franklin Counties. She was employed in food service for a number of years and attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God.

Survivors include her parents, Alfred J. and Florence M. Chalk Turgeon of Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law, David and Barbara Turgeon of Gulf Port, Mississippi; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane Shaw of Statesville, North Carolina, Deborah and Sam Hastings of Franklin, North Carolina and Cynthia and Alan Patrick of Martin, Georgia; friend and caregiver, Jenetta Bolman of Martin, Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 16, 2 O'clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Chitwood and the Reverend David Hastings officiating.

The family will be at the home of the parents, Alfred and Florence Turgeon, 66 Tugalo Lane, Toccoa, Georgia and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 PM to 8 PM.
