Elaine C. Keir

Elaine C. Keir, 62, of Franklin, NC died on February 22, 2014. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Dale and Shirley McAfee.

Elaine was a lifetime member of K.V.L.S and worked with the 4-H youth for over 30 years impacting hundreds of youth in Osceola County. She always gave freely of her time providing encouragement, inspirational words and guidance along the way. She retired from the State of Florida after 35 years of service.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 42 years Jack Keir; children Paula Keir of Franklin, NC; Heather Critchfield (Aaron) of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren Kaycie and Cody Critchfield of Suwanee, GA, Brianne and Parker Kimura of St.Cloud, Fl, Aleksa Critchfield of St. Cloud FL; sisters Beverly Negley (Eric) of Suwanee, GA; Mary Reel (Jud) of Acworth, GA; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Elaine's life will be held at 12:00 pm of Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11-12 noon on Wednesday, February 26 with services immediately following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the 4-H Association, 1921 Kissimmee Valley Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34744 or the Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show, 1911 Kissimmee Valley Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34744.
