Lois Teen Gables

Lois Teen Gables, age 88 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.


Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.


Mrs. Gables was born October 13, 1925 in Talmo, Georgia to the late William Owen Bryant and Susie Gee Bryant. She was retired USDA Inspector and a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jessie T. Gables.

Mrs. Gables is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Larry & Joann Guyton of Douglasville, Georgia, daughter & son-in-law, Connie & Michael Lawson of Gainesville, grandchildren, Teresa & Eddie Tipton of Villa Rica, Georgia, Cindy & Keith Thomas of Douglasville, Georgia, Greg & Jill Guyton of Villa Rica, Georgia, Brandy Thomas & Clyde Abbott of Gainesville and Ashley & Greg Elrod of Gainesville, great-grandchildren, Brittney Barron, Karie Godfrey, Tyler Godfrey, Danielle Godfrey, Brooke Godfrey, Kayla Guyton, Kimberly Guyton, Christopher Guyton, Jessica Smith, Hannah Thomas, Katelynn Thomas, Morgan Elrod and Addyson Elrod, 4 great-great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Julia Ellis and Peggy Ellis, both of Gainesville.
