Lamar Charles Stowers, age 55 of Gainesville passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an ­­extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 10, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Jeff Ingram will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 9, 2014 for 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Stowers was born on September 18, 1958 in Hall County to Charles Stowers and Sylvia Ledford. He was a self-employed construction worker and was of the baptist faith. Mr. Stowers was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Stowers Sellers.

Mr. Stowers is survived by his son, Christopher Stowers of Gainesville, father and mother Charles and Sylvia Stowers of Gainesville, sister, Cheryl Stowers of Murrayville, special niece, Molly Marie Sellers of Gainesville, great niece Isabella Ingram, great nephew, Zeke Duncan, and special friend Debbie Graham.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
