Rosa Belle Garrett Hulsey

Rosa Belle Garrett Hulsey, age 93, Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.




Mrs. Hulsey was born on April 16, 1920, in Toccoa, Georgia, to the late Wyley and Cora Belle Hallford Garrett. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, William Jefferson "Jeff" Hulsey; brothers, Robert Garrett, Paul Garrett, Pete Garrett, Guy Garrett; son in law, Jerry Pruitt. Mrs. Hulsey was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Hulsey was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and "community" mother.




Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Rosalyn and Henry Brown, Mt. Airy, Regenia and Billy Haygood, Mt. Airy; daughter, Debbie Pruitt, Mt. Airy; son and daughter in law, Phillip and Nina Hulsey, Mt. Airy; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.




Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Larry Ryals officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.




The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014.
