Willie Nell Allison

Obituary Date: Sunday, March 16, 2014


Willie Nell Allison, age 91 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Wayne Norris will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 3 - 5 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.


Mrs. Allison was born October 4, 1922 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Alfred Levi Jackson and Sallie Marshall Jackson. She was retired from Walt Cook Poultry Company and was a member of North Georgia Worship Center. Willie Nell was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Newton J. Andrews, her second husband, Charles Allison, half-brother, Odis Jackson, step-son, Billy Allison and son-in-law, William Butler.


Mrs. Allison is survived by her daughters, Hazel Butler of Gainesville, Lorene Grogan of Gainesville and Louise Evans of Lawrenceville, step-children, Vivian Stancil, Fern Bennett and Roger Allison, grandchildren, Tammy & Doug Crumley, Gene & Janet Butler, David Evans and Tim & Cathy Evans, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, special niece, Doveen Bowden of Forsyth, Georgia and special nephew, Roy Andrews of Jackson, Georgia.
