James Harold Clure

James Harold Clure, age 79, of Gainesville, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Steve Ford and Reverend Jason Walls will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Clure was born on January 1, 1935 in Buford, Georgia to the late Frank Clure and Mae Adams Clure. He was retired from Gainesville College where he was a security officer and he attended Flowery Branch Church of God.

Mr. Clure is survived by his wife, Deloris Clure of Gainesville, GA, son and daughter-in-law, James "Tony" and Diane Clure of Gainesville, GA, sisters, Luella Satterfield of Buford, GA, and Jalain Dollar of Buford, GA, brothers, Douglas Clure of Buford, GA, and Tommy Clure of Buford, GA, step-sons, Greg Stephens of Gainesville, GA and Dan Stephens, of Homer, GA, step-daughter, Venita Carroll of Gillsville, GA, 3 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 4 step-great grandchildren.
