Dorothy Louise Freeman Garrison

Mrs. Dorothy Louise Freeman Garrison, age 76 of Oakwood passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at New Horizons following an extended illness.


Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park for Louise and Raymond Garrison Reverend Scott Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home.


Mrs. Garrison was born on February 18, 1938 in Cleveland, Ga to the late Hubert "Red" Freeman and Dorothy Jane Ellis Freeman. She was retired from Moreno Press where she was a press operator and she was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Garrison is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond Garrison, brothers, Clarence and Charlie Freeman, brother-in-law Pat Hulsey.


She is survived by her sons, Tommy Garrison of Oakwood, and Tony Garrison of Oakwood, granddaughters, Britney Garrison, and Ivy Hinchliffe, grandsons, Austin Garrison, and Tanner Hinchliffe, sister and brother-in-law, Annie Mae and Jewell Nix of Maysville, sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Paul Winkles of Gainesville, and sister-in-laws Shirley Freeman of South Dakota, and Aileen West of Gainesville.
