Reda Johnson

Mrs. Reda Johnson, age 91, of Gainesville, GA died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Johnson was born August 9, 1922 in Gainesville, GA and had lived in the Murrayville area most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of Free Methodist Church in Gainesville, GA.

Reda was the daughter of the late Lovick Pierce Green and Montine Newton Green and was also preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Johnson; sons, Larry Joe Johnson and Billy Johnson; grandson, Jimmy Johnson; sister, Louise Mooney; and brother, Lovick Pierce Green Jr.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Jim Struder, Gainesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, James and Nancy Johnson, Gainesville, GA; brother, William Green, Gainesville, GA. 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Reda are scheduled for 3 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Jack Gilreath will officiate.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega on Monday March 31, 2014 from 2 PM until 4 PM and 6 PM until 8 PM.
