Tom R. Deaton

Tom R. Deaton, 60, of Buford, GA passed away on April 3, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marie Deaton. He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Kimberly Deaton; children, Jessica and Brock Adams, Sugar Hill, GA, Brett Deaton and fiancée Brittany Kanerva, Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Aidan Adams and Emma Adams; sister, Reva and Ricky Hoskins, Waynesville, OH; sisters-in-law, Sharon and James Adkins, Somerville, OH, Mary Higgins, Middletown, OH; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Deaton was born October 27, 1953, in Middletown, OH. He was a 1972 graduate of Carlisle High School, Carlisle, OH and a graduate of Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH, where he received his associate degree in electronics. He was a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton, OH, where he received his bachelor's degree in computer science. He was retired from N.C.R. after thirty-seven years of service. He attended Buford Church of God.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014, in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Guess and Rev. Edward Davenport officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, GA 30096, in memory of Tom Deaton.
