Obituary Date: Wednesday, April 30, 2014


Benny Ingram, age 70 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Arizona following a sudden illness.


Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Memorial Park with Reverend Phil Carpenter officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 10-11am.



Mr. Ingram was born on August 2, 1943 in Stephens County to the late Colvin & Georgia McCollum Ingram. He graduated from the University of Georgia before completing his Masters degree at Georgia Tech. He later retired as director of business development for ECS. Mr. Ingram served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church.


Mr. Ingram is survived by his wife, Tommie Carpenter Ingram of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony & Sandra Williams of Kyle, Texas; Ben and Gwen Ingram of Gainesville; son, Joshua Ingram of Atlanta; grandson and wife, Chris and Sabrina Alcola of Lockhart, Texas; granddaughters, Jessica and Hannah Williams of Kyle, Texas; grandsons, Colby and Benji Ingram of Gainesville; great grandsons, Cooper and Cason Alcola of Lockhart, Texas; sister, Judy Jackson of Cleveland, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Becky Ingram of Gainesville.
