Nathan Styles

Nathan Styles, age 79 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Phil DeMore will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Styles was born June 6, 1934 in Dawsonville, Georgia to the late James Otis Styles and Cleo Waters Styles. He was born and raised in the Juno Community of Dawsonville and was retired from General Motors. Nathan was a member of First Methodist Church and a member of the Hudson Club, an Antique Car Club.

Mr. Styles is survived by his wife, Rosemary Valentine Styles of Gainesville, daughter, Elizabeth Halatayi of Chesapeake, Virginia, grandson, Nathaniel Chase Halatayi of Richmond, Virginia, brothers & sisters-in-law, James Robert & Betsy Styles of Decatur, Georgia and William & Jo Styles of Dawsonville, niece, Rachel Styles Brown and nephews, Rob Styles of Boca Raton, Florida and Ken Styles of Lawrenceville.
