Linda Choun

Obituary Date: Sunday, May 18, 2014

Linda Choun passed away peacefully on May 18, 2014 at her Cumming, Georgia home at age 83, surrounded by her loving family. Survived by her adoring husband of 49 years, Stanley Choun and her three children Amy (Jason) Gettle, Frances (William), and Christine Shumate and her three granddaughters Victoria Gettle, Hannah Shumate and Delaney Shumate. Beloved daughter of Chiyoko and Heiichi Hisano. Beloved sister of Sadao and Kazuo Hisano of Japan.
Linda was born in 1931 in Tokyo, Japan. Linda and Stanley moved to Honolulu, Hawaii after being married in 1964 and settled in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of their lives until they settled in Georgia.
Family and friends were Linda's passion as she cherished them every day by her gentle warmth and kindness. She possessed a special gift f or making friends with every person she met. Linda was a beautiful and compassionate woman that lived life to the fullest every day.
Linda loved her pets, and she enjoyed travelling around the world. She had a passion for all genres of music including country, rock n' roll and Hawaiian music.
Friends may visit after 5 pm and are invited to attend the service on May 20, 2014 at 7 pm at McDonald & Son, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association www. alzfdn.org and Kimochi, Inc. www.kimochi-inc.org
