Charles David Wilkie

Charles David Wilkie, age 50 passed peacefully due to an extended illness on Saturday May 24, 2014 at Heritage Healthcare of Toccoa.

He is the son of the late Mildred and James Wilkie of Miami, Florida. He was born in Miami, Florida and moved to Cornelia, Georgia in 2001 after sustaining an injury. He attended Cornelia United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Miami Norland Senior High School and worked for TruGreen Chemlon in Sunrise, Florida.

He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Richard Rumbold of Cornelia Georgia and son Charles J. Wilkie of Miami, Florida, also survived by cousins Beth Bergmann and Scott Morley.

The family wishes to express thanks to all that has been kind to him throughout the years and especially to Dr. Alan Harben of Roswell, Dr. Mark Cohen of Atlanta, and Dr. Jim Wade of Toccoa, friends from the Brain Injury Association of Georgia, and the caring personnel at Heritage Healthcare of Toccoa.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
