James Grant Powell

James Grant Powell of Murrayville, GA, went to be with his Lord May 19, 2014 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born in Oak Harbor, Washington on June 24, 1967 son of Richard and Nan Powell.

He will be missed by his brothers Rick and Doug and sister Julie, four children, Kelynn (Lee) McPeak, Grant, Morgan and Hannah and loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a devoted son and brother and a dedicated, hardworking father to his children. While living in the Gainesville area, he was employed by Kubota and most recently Shintone who faithfully supported him through his entire illness. The joy of his life was serving his Lord, fellowshipping with his with his church and enjoying friendships all over the country.

A memorial service is to be held Thursday June 5, 2014 at 3PM at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the James Powell Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 506, Murrayville, GA 30564. Checks should be made out to Gospel Assembly Church.
