Exie Nelms Burrell Loudermilk, age 77, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014.




Mrs. Loudermilk was born on February 12, 1937 in White County, Georgia; daughter of the late James Richard and Florence Shelnut Nelms. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert "Hub" Burrell and Carl F. Loudermilk; brother, Bobby Lee Nelms; stepdaughter, Maxine McDuffie; grandson, John A. Harrison; great-grandson, Christopher Perry. Mrs. Loudermilk was a member of Chopped Oak Baptist Church.




Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Jackie Burrell, Cornelia, Doug and Brenda Burrell, Baldwin; son, Ronnie Burrell, Dawsonville; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Laura Jane and Ronnie Harrison, Eastanollee, Wilma and Roger Ansley, Cornelia; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Herbert and Cathy Burrell, Lavonia, Carl and Valarie Loudermilk, Jr., Demorest, Lamar and Amanda Loudermilk, Mt. Airy, David and Glenda Loudermilk, Mt. Airy; sisters, Annie (Ann) Burrell, Flowery Branch, Rose Sutton, Demorest; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Harrison Collins, Demorest; 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.




Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Billy Burrell and Laura Jane Harrison. Interment will follow in Clarkesville City Cemetery.




The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014
