Runette Watson Chandler

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00am Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel for Runette Watson Chandler, 72, of Gainesville, Georgia.
Dr. Terry Crawford and the Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4pm-8pm Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chandler passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2014 following a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Chandler was born in Hall County to the late Howlett W. and Laura Ash Watson. She was a member of the New Holland Baptist Church. Mrs. Chandler was retired after working a number of years at Sears in Gainesville. After retiring, she served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Chandler's greatest joy in her later years was being a grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chandler is preceded in death by her brother, Leon Watson.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Raymond L. Chandler, Gainesville; daughter, Lynn Chandler, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Carla Chandler, Clermont; granddaughter, Capri Chandler, Clermont; sister, Barbara Abernathy, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Helen Juanita and William I. Capps, Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Carolyn Watson, Gainesville; as well as a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Deepest appreciation is given to all of Mrs. Chandler's doctors and nurses for their guidance and compassionate care. The family would also like to thank their friends, church, family and ministers for their prayers and loving support throughout Mrs. Chandler's long illness.
