Willard L. Buffington

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday June 27, 2014 in Wards Funeral Home Chapel for Willard Lee Buffington, 91, of Dahlonega. Rev. Gerald Tanton and Rev. David Lyle will officiate. Burial will be in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery.





The family will receive friends on Thursday evening 4:00 pm -8:00 pm at the funeral home.


Mr. Buffington was born January 11, 1923 in Gillsville, Georgia and was the son of the late Guy & Mary Lou Buffington. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a Purple Heart receipant . He had worked at both the New Holland and Gainesville Mill, and was retired from General Motors Corp. Mr. Buffington was a member of Gillsville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Wife Martha Adams Buffington.
