Mildred Compton Bagwell

Obituary Date: Friday, June 27, 2014
Mildred Compton Bagwell, age 78 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, June 30, 2014 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Michael Reynolds and Reverend Paul Wade will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bagwell was born October 29, 1935 in Buford, Georgia to the late Clarence Compton and Jennie Mae Jones Compton. She was retired from Lazy Days Marina and was a member of West Hall Baptist Church for over 25 years, where she loved to sing in the choir. Mildred was very faithful in teaching several children's Sunday School Classes. She enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School and was a member of several Adult Sunday School Classes and was a member of WMU. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Wayne Bagwell.
Mrs. Bagwell is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alwin Bagwell of Flowery Branch, daughter & son-in-law, Rebecca & Richard Tracy of Oakwood, daughter-in-law, Carolyn Bagwell of Gillsville, grandsons, Chris (Erika) Bagwell of Boston, Massachusetts, Nathon Bagwell of Gainesville, Jeremy (Sheree) Bagwell of Lula, granddaughter, Holly Bagwell of Gillsville, great-grandchildren, Taylor, Emma, Jackson, Annielee and Berklee, sisters & brothers-in-law, Wilma & Howell Titshaw of Suwanee, Georgia, Bonnie & Bob Taylor of San Antonio, Texas and Jimmie & Charles Bell of Buford, brother & sister-in-law, Frank & Brenda Compton of Buford and a number of nieces and nephews.
