James "Jamie" Carlton Jarrell, III

James "Jamie" Carlton Jarrell, III, age 51 of Homer, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 01, 2014.

Born in Stephens County, Georgia on June 01, 1963, he was a son of James Carlton Jarrell, Jr. of Clarkesville and the late Nancy Sisk Miller. Mr. Jarrell served his country proudly in the United States Army and was currently a Project Manager with Advantage Industrial Systems. Jamie was an avid fisherman, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed supporting his children in their sports activities with Lacey & Daniel both playing soccer as well as Daniel playing football.

In addition to his father, survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Virginia "Ginny" Daniel Jarrell, Homer, GA; daughter, Lacey Jarrell, son, Daniel Jarrell, both of Homer, GA; brother, Tommy Jarrell, Eastanollee, GA; sisters & brothers-in-law, Libby (Charles) Caudell, Martin, GA; Deborah (Hugh) Isbell, Eastanollee, GA; Peggy (David) Cheek, Smyrna, GA; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, David (Catherine) Daniel, Maysville, GA; Richard (Angie) Daniel, Lula, GA; Don (Cynthia) Daniel, Homer, GA; Mark Daniel, Suwanee, GA; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Andrea (Randall) Sims, Dacula, GA; Mary (Joe) Strickland, Cornelia, GA; Martha (Bret) Slack, Norcross, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 05, 2014 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Mangum will officiate. Mr. Jarrell's wishes were to be cremated following the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 until 4 p.m. prior to the service.
