Roberta Christalene (Sherer) Clark

Mrs. Roberta Christalene (Sherer) Clark, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the age of 91.


She was born September 11, 1922 in Kentucky, the daughter of the late C.B. and Ruth (Ramey) Sherer. She was a loving and devoted mother, a master gardener and a wonderful teacher.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Winston Clark, Sr., brother, Ralph Sherer; sisters-in-law, Connie Sherer and Alma Sherer; son, Winston Clark, Jr. a d infant grandson, John Clark, Jr.


Mrs. Clark is survived by her children, John (Connie) Clark, Ruth Clark, Becky (Steve) Short; special granddaughter, Hannah Short; brother, Charles Sherer, Walla Walla, WA; Paul Sherer, Campobello, SC; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.


The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Tugaloo Home Health, Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Kelly Coleman, ANP-C of Longstreet House Calls for helping her to fulfill her wish to remain at home during her last months of life.


Private graveside services were held on July 21, 2014 at the family burial plot on Lebanon Church Road, Gillsville, GA.
