Jimmie Wood Cooper

Jimmie Wood Cooper, 101 of Flowery Branch passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 following a sudden illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to follow in Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Phil Carpenter will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 2-3 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cooper was born on October 30, 1912 in Homer, Georgia to the late Harbin Albert Wood and Florence Marie Segars Wood. She was a retired school teacher with the Hall County School System and attended Midway United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aaron Jack Cooper; sisters, Alma Martin, Mary Brownlow, Gretrell Wood.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Syble Cooper of Chestnut Mountain, Lamar and Vivian Cooper of McRae, Georgia; granddaughter Lisa William of Gainesville; grandsons, Scott Cooper of Flowery Branch, and Matt Cooper of Augusta, Georgia; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Kytle of Gainesville, Molly Brown of Commerce, and Milford House of Gillsville; brother, George Wood of Gillsville.
