Robert Allen Shaw

Robert Allen Shaw, 68, of Ball Ground, GA passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014.

Born and raised in Georgia, Robby was a 1964 graduate of Sprayberry High School. After graduating from West Georgia College with degrees in Physics & Math, Robby was employed by AT&T, f/k/a Western Electric and Lucent, for more than 30 years. Following a brief brush with retirement, his analytical mind made him well suited for the position of Manager of Financial Operations at the Forsyth County Sheriff's office until his hobbies called for full retirement in 2013.

Robby was an avid golfer, pinball machine wizard & could make a jukebox sing. Give him a wilted stick and he would return a bountiful basket of vegetables. Tomatoes were his specialty. He often enjoyed fishing and spectator sports.

Robby leaves behind his wife Debbie Shaw of Cumming, children Robin A. Shaw (Joe) DiGiorgio of Odessa, FL, T.G. (Jillian) Shaw of Cumming, Jennifer Shaw of Cumming, grandchildren Ryan Ledbetter of Odessa, FL, Stratton and Collier Shaw of Cumming, step-children Rachel (Jason) Blackwell of Cumming and Josh Arnold of Cumming, parents Florence & Charles Gilbert Shaw of Palmetto, FL, brothers Charles Gilbert (Dona) Shaw, Jr. of Clermont, Bruce Jennings Shaw of St Thomas, USVI, sister Sadie Shaw (Mark) Palmer of Palmetto, FL, the late Judy Shaw Blackburn (mother of Robin) and Lynn Shaw (mother of T.G. and Jennifer) of Cumming, GA, and many other relatives.

Robby's (Bob) quick wit will be missed by all.

The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 23rd, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. & Thursday, July 24th, from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 24th, at 2:00 p.m. They would like to express their appreciation to friends for all the prayers and support during this time.
