Cynthia Elizabeth Baker

Cynthia Elizabeth Baker, 83, of Gainesville passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park with internment to follow in the Crossroads Cemetery. Reverend Chris Ellis and Reverend Steve Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 12-9 pm and on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 prior to service.

Mrs. Baker was born on June 2, 1931 in Gainesville to the late Homer Pirkle and Angeline Day Pirkle. She was retired from Mar-Jac and was a member of Light House Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie Baker; daughter, Joyce Louise Baker; son, Raymond Baker; sisters, Eunice Workman, Emma Chamblee, brother, James Pirkle.

Mrs. Baker is survived by daughter and Fiancé, Ann Hambrick and Eddie Jones of Gainesville; son and girlfriend, Wayne Baker and Cheryl Knapp of Gainesville; son, Gus Baker of Dawsonville; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Louise Smallwood of Murrayville.
