Ricky 'Jabo'Adams

Ricky "Jabo" Adams, age 49, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, and a truck driver for Capable Express. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Jabo was the son of the late Barnell and Barbara Crane Adams, and is also preceded in death by his step-son, Daniel "Milo" Milum.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Joann Milum; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Randy Anderson, Ellijay, GA; step-daughter, Hayley Milum, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor and Ann Adams; and Ronald and Debra Adams, all of Gainesville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Kayetta and Billy Fricks, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Kynslie and Corbin Anderson; and his beloved cat, Cooper. Several nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Jabo are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Mill Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Sandy Reece and Rev. Joseph Simmons will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega from 4 PM until 9 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2014; and 9 AM until 1 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2014.
