Betty Lenora Lemley

Betty Lenora Lemley, age 76, of Dahlonega, GA died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Betty was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and spent most of her adult life in Lumpkin County. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Shoup and Ida Mae Burnett Shoup; husbands, Ernest Reeves and Harold Lemley; son, Richard Reeves; daughter, Patty Watson; brother, Richard Howard Shoup and sister, Theresa Shoup.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tina Church, Dahlonega, GA, John D. Reeves, Dahlonega; brothers, and sisters-in-law, Roy and Diane Shoup, North Carolina, Charlie and Terry Shoup, North Carolina; sister Myrtle Robinson, North Carolina. 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Betty are scheduled for 4 PM Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Bobby Whitmire will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 7 PM until 9 PM, Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 9 AM until 9 PM and again on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 10 AM until 3 PM.
