Robert L. 'Bob' Harris

Robert (Bob) Harris passed August 13, 2014 at Dogwood Forest Assisted Living Center in Cumming, GA. Bob was born December 11, 1929 to Edwin W. and Mary Amelia (Brown) Harris in Ashland, KY. Bob graduated from Middletown High School and Miami University in Ohio. He served in both the US Army and Air Force and worked for Champion International in Hamilton, Ohio. Bob spent most of his life in Middletown, Ohio, before relocating to Pawleys Island, SC and then to Cumming in 2001.
He was an active member of Parkway Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed singing in the choir. Bob loved spending time with his loving family, playing and watching golf.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sue (Lawrence) of Cumming, children Jim (Kathy) of Middletown, OH and Pam (Steve) Crawford of Milton, GA. He also leaves behind grandchildren Danielle (Justin) Simpson, Cody and Lane Crawford, and great grandchildren Leah and Bryce Simpson. Survivors also include his brother Edwin of Indianapolis, IN and sister, Mary Beebe of Billings, MT.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 16 at Parkway Presbyterian Church, 5830 Bethelview Road in Cumming. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, OH at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Parkway Presbyterian Church or Northside Hospital-Forsyth Auxiliary Memorial Fund.
