Roger Terrell Wade

Mr. Roger Terrell Wade, age 60 of 482 Old Oak Valley Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at Athens Regional Hospital.

A son of Alice Shirley Wade McCurley and the late Lewis E. Wade, he was born March 8, 1954 in Habersham County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was a former heavy equipment operator and was of the Holiness faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Cleveland Wade.

Survivors include his mother, Alice Wade McCurley of Toccoa; wife of the home, Gail Stowe Wade; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Michael Cheek of Toccoa; sisters-in-law, Savonda Thomas of Toccoa and Jeanette Wade of Hiawassee; brothers-in-law and their wives, Doug and Lorey Stowe of Pensacola, Florida and Jerry and Gina Crawford of Toccoa, Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 4, 2 O'clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Barbara Vaughn officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kenneth Kinsey, Jonathan Jordan and Dillon Kinsey.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment will follow in Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Roger Terrell Wade.
