Charles Ray Loggins

Obituary Date: Tuesday, September 2, 2014

Mr. Charles Ray Loggins, age 74 of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Loggins was born on April 17, 1940, in Cleveland, Ga, to the late Buford Loggins, Sr. and Jennie Freeman Loggins. He was a self-employed farmer and a member of White Creek Baptist Church. He was also a member of the American Black and Tan Association, the National Rifle Association, and the GA Federation of Hunters. Mr. Loggins was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Loggins.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Loggins, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Shelly Loggins, Tellico, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda Gail and Steve Evans, Demorest, and Glenda Kay and Jonathan Akins, Lula; brothers and sister-in-laws, Fay and Pat Loggins, Cleveland, Ronnie and Mildred Loggins, Belton, GA, Buford and Helen Loggins, Gainesville; brother, Eddie Loggins, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Dalton Loggins and Mattie Loggins.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Peck, Rev. Bobby Vandenberg, and Rev. Kyle Savage will officiate. Interment will follow at White Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
