Evelyn H. Smith

Mrs. Evelyn H. Smith, 75, of Murrayville died Saturday September 6, 2014 at her residence.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Smith had lived in Lumpkin County for a number of years also. She was the daughter of the late Barnett and Lizzie Burruss Hurley. Mrs. Smith was a secretary for the Lumpkin County Elementary School for a number of years before retiring from Pioneer RESA. She was a member of the Yellow Creek Baptist.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Patti Smith, Gainesville; grandchildren, Storm and Victoria Smith,Gainesville; Addyson Smith, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Charles Barrett, Murrayville.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents, husband, J. Marlin Smith, and daughter, Belinda Smith.

Family will receive friends Monday September 8, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 9, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at Yellow Creek Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jason Buffington and Rev. Rex Fuller will officiate.
