Mae Elizabeth Mayer

Mae Elizabeth Mayer, age 85, of Dawsonville, GA died September 24, 2014. Mrs. Mayer was a loving mother and grandmother and a devout Catholic. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Dawsonville. She was employed with the Salvation Army Headquarters in Atlanta for numerous years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ormond L. Mayer, Sr. and daughter, Stacy Mayer Prince.

Survivors include, children, Ormond L. Mayer, Jr., of Gainesville, Neal J. Mayer, of Canton, Mauleen Mayer, & James Shirley, Tammy M. Robinson, and Renee M. Bales, all of Dawsonville, grandchildren, Zachary Mayer, Spencer Robinson, Ainsley Robinson, Camden Mayer, Marriah Bales, Riley Prince, Chase Mayer, Austin Mayer, & Tatum Bales. Numerous other relatives also survive.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, September 26, 2014 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Dawsonville, GA. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4PM to 9PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church or Embracing Hospice Care.
