Betty Lou Walden Henderson

Ms. Betty Lou Walden Henderson, age 74 of Jefferson, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Jeffrey Gailey and Reverend Shannon Wingo will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 6 - 8 pm and Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 1 - 4 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Ms. Henderson was born January 2, 1940 in Lula, Georgia to the late Grover Walden and Fannie Ward Walden. She was retired from John Crodup Law Firm as a Legal Secretary and was of the Pentecostal Faith. Betty enjoyed reading, history and playing the piano.

Ms. Henderson is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Brice "Chuck" Henderson & Kathy Edelman of Oak Park, Illinois, sister, Jackie Sutton of Jefferson, niece, Angie Wingo of Clermont, nephew, Shannon Wingo of Clermont and 2 grand-nieces, Grace Wingo and Katlin Wingo, both of Clermont.
