Ron Watson

Ron Watson, 74, of Dawsonville passed away Monday September 29, 2014 at his residence following a period of declining health.

Born April 23, 1940 in Los Angeles, California to the late Ray and Jennie Watson, he moved to Dahlonega in 1980 and to Dawson County in 1990. Mr. Watson retired as a fork lift operator for Shasta Beverage after 18 years of service. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy McNutt, and brother, Bob Watson.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Pam Watson, Dawsonville; children, Jeffery Watson, Pennsylvania, Paul and Susan Watson, Dawsonville; granddaughter, Kelsey Watson, Dawsonville; sister, Colleen Worlitiz, Redondo Beach, CA; brother, John Watson, Glendale, CA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday October 2, 2014 at 11 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Ziemer will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
