Judy Bennett Fields

Mrs. Judy Bennett Fields, 67 of Gainesville died Monday September 29, 2014.




A lifelong resident of Gainesville, Mrs. Fields was a graduate of Gainesville High School Class of 1965. She worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist for Dr.'s Askew, Browning, Jenkins, Cox and Little before her retirement. Mrs. Fields was a member of the Central Baptist Church.




Survivors include her husband, Robert M. "Bob" Fields, Gainesville; daughter, Kelly Fields, Oakwood; mother, Murdees Bennett, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and John Walker, Ormond Beach, Florida; nieces, Summer Renick and Brandi Renick-Smith,both of Denver, Colorado; nephew, Chad Philyaw, Gainesville.

Mrs. Fields is preceded in death by her father, Woodfin Bennett and a sister, Janice Philyaw.




Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 2, 2014 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Earl Pirkle will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from noon until 2:00 p.m.




In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Central Baptist Church General Fund, 785 Main Street, Gainesville, Ga. 30501 in memory of Mrs. Fields.
