Barbara Farrar Hamilton

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Barbara Farrar Hamilton, age 79, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Fort Worth, Texas, a daughter to the late D.R. Farrar Sr. and the late Dorothy Lee Cox Farrar. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Academy Baptist Church in Jefferson and was a retired Bookkeeper. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband, William Alan Hamilton, sister, Mary Catherine Helmer and her brothers, D.R. Farrar Jr., Lloyd Farrar, Jerry Farrar and Stephen Farrar.

Survivors include sister, Betty (Bill) Brock of Fort Worth, Texas, children, Gregg Taylor of Forth Worth, Texas, Joe Mark Taylor, Las Vegas, Nevada, Cathy Fouse (Johnny) Fuller, Waxahachie, Texas, Steve (Karen) Taylor, Atlanta, Georgia, Lynna Myers of Jefferson, Georgia, 13 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 6:30pm in the Academy Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30pm Monday, prior to the service, in the Church.
