David Joseph Smith

David Joseph Smith, age 44, of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, October 07, 2014, at Emory University Hospital.
Born in Newport, Rhode Island on July 17, 1970, he was a son of Donald Smith, Sr. and Patricia Smith of Mt. Airy. Mr. Smith was formerly employed as a manager with Zaxby's and was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his parents, survivors include wife, Kimberly Smith of Cornelia; daughter, Kendal L. Smith of Cornelia; stepdaughter, Devin M. Straub of Orlando, Florida; brother, Donald M. Smith, Jr. of Mt. Airy; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of David Joseph Smith.
